Ramen Bankara Southkey (Jb)

Nice Ramen Noodle. Know your taste and get the right one. 1) Bankara Ramen - Like rich, pork base soyou and abit salty, Yellow noodle. 2) Miso Ramen - miso base, strong taste, thick gravy, yellow noodle with lots of Onions. 3) Tonkotsu Ramen - normal rich, pork base, white thin noodle, chashu abit salty mix well with the soup.

Visited on 12 Dec, close to 8 pm, for dinner. The male staff (cannot remember his name) was really friendly and patiently explained the options and different soup bases that suited our taste. The tonkatsu soup base ramen was really good, not too salty, but the pork was a bit tough. The dipping ramen was on the sweeter side, which didn't suit my taste.

We weren't hungry so we decided to go for ramen for dinner. This place serves a range of ramen that suits us, from miso, to tonkotsu, to tsukemen. We ordered a miso ramen, 2 tonkotsu chasu ramen, and one tsukemen. Our friends had the tsukemen and miso ramen and they were quite impressed. The broth for the tsukemen was thick but had some lime addition to make sure it wasn't overly oily, and the dry noodles were actually served on a cold plate. Our friends also said the miso ramen was one of the best they've had. As for the tonkotsu we ordered, the broth was thick and fragrant. You could tell the broth was really cooked for a long time by the intensity of the taste. The serving size of noodles were pretty big, and we could hardly finish our noodles. The chasu was almost perfect, tender and soft, while not too fatty. The egg that we added on was perfect, with the yolk still half watery. The gyoza was good but not fantastic. The size of the gyoza was quite small as well, and while it is juicy inside, it was missing the crispy Base. The staff was really helpful and detailed. We asked for the noodles to be cooked softer and it was just right. Will definitely come again for the tonkotsu ramen.

Walk past this while hungry. Had the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was well cooked however over seasoned making it slightly on the salty side. The portion is big and the braised pork was perfectly cooked Had the Japanese styled milk tea which tasted oddly similar to pokka milk tea

One of the best ramen I ever had. I was advised by the staff to add crushed garlic to the soup, totally elevated the taste of the ramen to another level!! Will be coming back again soon!

Delicious and flavourful ramen with great and friendly service from the staff who gave a complimentary sago almond milk dessert. The broth for all the types is rich, salty, and has intense, complex flavour. Each type has its distinct flavour profile but all tasted good. It is not crowded during lunch hours on a weekday.
